Deutsche Bank has begun providing the US House of Representatives with financial records related to US President Donald Trump.

California Democratic Representative Maxine Waters confirmed at the Capitol on Tuesday that a House investigation into the president’s finances would involve details of the bank’s relations with Trump.

The New York billionaire has reportedly borrowed millions over decades from the bank, which is now ready to offer details of its dealings with Trump.

Before the 2018 midterms when Democrats were the minority in the House, Deutsche Bank had reportedly refused to cooperate with the probe.

Waters, the chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, and Adam Schiff, another California Democrat serving as the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee have been investigating the president’s finances.

The German bank was fined $630 million by the US Justice Department in 2017 for laundering money out of Russia.

The latest announcement came after the so-called Russia probe concluded that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

Trump had called the special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe a "hoax," a “witch hunt,” or a “scam.”

US Attorney General William Barr said Sunday that neither Trump nor anyone involved in his presidential campaign conspired with Russia as the intelligence community had assumed in the wake of the 2016 presidential election.
