AFC U-23 Championship: Iran 3-1 Turkmenistan
Team Iran have enjoyed an opening day 3-1 victory over Turkmenistan, in group C of the AFC U-23 Championship.
Iran got to the score-sheet after Turkmen defender0 Rashidov netted an own goal in the 35th minute.
Iran doubled the lead when Omid Noor-Afkan scored with a great free-kick before the hour mark. Gorgenov cut the deficit to ONE for Turkmenistan with a header in the 73rd minute.
Finally, Reza Ja-beereh scored the winning Goal from inside the box in the dying moments. With the Victory, Iran stayed in 2nd place in Group C behind Iraq on goal difference.
