NBA: Portland Trail Blazers 126-118 Dallas Mavericks

Over to basketball and the NBA, the Portland Trail Blazers have defeated the visiting Dallas Mavericks 126 to 118 at the Moda Center.

The Blazers were the better side of the match and won the 1st-2-quarters that led to their 65 to 52 advantage at the intermission. The hosts managed to win the 3rd quarter and despite their loss in the final frame they finished the match in their favour. Damian Lillard tallied 33 points for Portland as Luka Doncic bagged 24 for Dallas.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers edged the Milwaukee Bucks 107 to 102 on Wednesday night at home. At the end of the 1st quarter the Cavs led the Mavericks 58 to 47. Then the Bucks stormed back and managed to win the 3rd 34 to 23, a comeback that was simply not enough as the Cavs won the final frame to secure their victory with a 5-point margin.
