U.S. Saudi nuclear sale

A report by US Congressional Democrats says that key members of the Trump administration have been pushing a plan to sell nuclear power plants to Saudi Arabia.

The sale of nuclear power plants to Saudi Arabia is in spite of objections from the National Security Council members. They are concerned the plan violates laws aimed at preventing the transfer of nuclear knowhow that could be used toward a nuclear program. Iran’s top diplomat Zarif has also described the move as a token of the White House hypocrisy.
