Latest anti-Iran measures by the US

Warsaw conference, named the Middle East conference, turned out to be another fiasco in the US history.

The US and its allies, in line with their attempts to demonize Iran, this time decided to hold a meeting in Warsaw. They called it an international summit and invited world countries to attend the meeting; however, it was nothing more than a meeting and many countries turned down its invitation. EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini didn't attend the conference, and neither did the foreign ministers of France and Germany, who sent lower ranking officials instead. Russia also stayed away and British Jeremy Hunt also left early. The result of the meeting turned to be another debacle in the US history.

The US government pursued two main objectives in the Warsaw meeting; however, it left the US with nothing. First, it wanted to demonize Iran and create a collation against it and second it meant to frighten the Arabs from Iran and this way convince them to get closer to Israel and forget about the Palestinians’ rights. The meeting which was planned by Brian Hook, Trump's special envoy on Iran, was first announced by Mike Pompeo after his anti-Iran speech in Cairo mid-January. It was only natural to perceive the meeting or Warsaw Conference as an anti-Iran rally, therefore. But things took a turn just before the conference.

The US didn’t get a vibe of comradely even from its natural allies, the most powerful European NATO members. Chief EU diplomat Federica Mogherini said she would not attend, which tells all. Actually this maneuvers by the US government dividend the gap between the US and the EU even more. The said division actually began after Trump left the Iran deal unilaterally.
