Iran Pakistan call

The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has urged Pakistan to act against terrorists following a deadly cross-border attack on Iranian forces. Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Jafari says if Pakistan fails to carry out its responsibilities, Iran reserves the right to confront threats on its borders based on international. Jafari says Pakistan is responsible because it knows the whereabouts of the terrorists who attacked IRGC troops in southeastern Iran. Jafari has vowed that Iran will take revenge and punish what he calls mercenary terrorists working for regional and trans-regional spy agencies. 27 Iranian troops were killed and 13 other wounded after a car bomb hit their bus in Sistan Baluchistan province. The Pakistan-based Jaish al-Adl terror group claimed responsibility. A funeral is set to be held for the victims in the central city of Isfahan.

‘War plans’ against Venezuela

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has accused Colombia and the United States of hatching war plans against Caracas. Maduro asked the military to prepare for a special deployment to the border with Colombia to make it impenetrable. He also accused Washington of stealing billions of dollars and offering “crumbs” in return as humanitarian aid. So far, Venezuelan authorities have foiled the entry of trucks with US humanitarian aid waiting at the Colombian border. Caracas has rejected Washington aid as a charade saying the US and its allies are trying to manufacture a so-called humanitarian crisis to justify a military intervention in the Latin American nation.

Iran terror attack

Iran is holding a funeral for the victims of a recent deadly terror attack on members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. Thousands of people along with senior IRGC commanders are taking part in the ceremony in the central city of Isfahan. The 27 Iranian troops were killed and 13 others wounded after a car bomb hit their bus in Sistan Baluchistan province on Wednesday. The victims were mainly from Isfahan. The Pakistan-based Jaish al-Adl terror group claimed responsibility.

Slamming Arab leaders’ inaction

The Secretary General of the Hezbollah Resistance Movement has slammed the Middle East conference in Poland for failing to raise the Palestinian issue. Nasrallah said one of the main goals of this conference was making the world forget the Palestinian cause. Instead, he said, the meeting was an attempt to mobilize a coalition to counter Iran and the resistance axis. Nasrallah said this attempt will fail as the Islamic Republic is stronger than ever before and no war can be waged against it. The Hezbollah leader said Tehran is under attack through proxies and sanctions because it is a powerful force in the region. He noted that the Iranian nation's response to this conference was the mass nationwide rallies marking the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. Nasrallah went on to criticize the US president, describing Donald Trump as a hypocrite for taking credit for the victory over Daesh.

France protests

Yellow Vest protesters and the police have clashed during anti-government protests in Paris. Police used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the demonstrators. Several people got injured and many more were arrested. This is the 14th week of rallies against President Emmanuel Macron. The protesters call for Macron’s resignation, saying he makes decisions without any consideration for the ordinary people.
