What will Israel want from Chad?
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has officially declared the resumption of diplomatic ties with Chad alongside the African countrys President Idriss Deby.
In November 2018, the Chadian president paid the first official visit to Israel by a leader of Chad that cut diplomatic ties with Israel in 1972. Netanyahus visit to chad and other African countries is also part of Israel's policy to seek allies among developing countries that have historically sided with the Palestinians at international bodies like the UN.
