WFP cuts food aid to Palestinians

More devastation for the Palestinians who have been living under occupation for decades now.

The World Food Program has cut aid for some 27- thousand Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Another 165- thousand Palestinians in the West Bank and 110-thousand in Gaza, will receive only 80 percent of the usual amount of aid. The reason for the cuts is shortages in funding. The UN points the finger of blame for the humanitarian crisis at one specific country.

US President Donald Trump has cut some $500m in Palestinian aid since taking office. US-Palestine ties deteriorated last December, when Trump declared Jerusalem al-Quds as the “capital” of Israel and announced plans to transfer its embassy from Tel Aviv to the occupied city.
