In the National Hockey League, the Boston Bruins have edged past the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 at the Scotiabank Arena.

David Krejci scored the opener late in the 1st period to give Boston the lead. Andreas Johnsson then tied it at 1-all in the 2nd period before Mitchell Marner scored the go-ahead goal for Toronto.

The Bruins bagged their 2nd through Sean Kuraly. And David Pastrnak made it 3-2 with 15 seconds remaining in the period to seal the win for Boston, who have won 6 of their last 7 games.

Meanwhile in New York, the Islanders suffered a 2-1 loss to the Rangers at the Barclays Center. Filip Chytil and Mats Zuccarello scored for the Rangers and Alexandar Georgiev stopped 24 shots to help with the win.

Anton Beauvillier scored for the Islanders, who will next host the Tampa Bay Lightning. That’s while the Rangers will meet the Blue Jackets in Columbus.
