Pompeo: US will interfere in the Middle East

During a speech in Egypt’s capital Cairo, US secretary of state Mike Pompeo outlined President’s Trump’s foreign policy outlook for the Middle East. Pompeo’s speech, delivered ten years after an address by former Pres. Obama, depicted a more interventionist foreign policy. Pompeo vowed to contain Iran’s regional influence and said Washington would work with its partners to QUOTE expel every last Iranian boot. He also said the US would not accept the presence of Lebanon’s presence in the country’s government.
