Iraq’s Kirkuk at political deadlock amid dispute between Kurdish parties

Political tensions continue in the Kirkuk province in Iraq’s Kurdistan region. The two main parties, Kurdistan Democratic Party and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, have been at loggerhead over the post of provincial governor since 2017.
