US establishment oblivious to resilient nature of Iranians: Activist

The American political establishment has not yet understood the steadfastness of Iranian leadership and people in the face of pressure, says a commentator.

In a Wednesday address, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei warned the United States of an “unprecedented defeat” in its campaign of sanctions and pressure against the Iranian nation.

Barry Grossman, international lawyer and peace activist, told Press TV on Wednesday that there are some American politicians, who have been trying to pursue the policy of putting utmost pressure on Iran, but they do not know that the Iranians will not bow down to pressure.

“Apart from their commitment to prosecuting a regional foreign policy in the Middle East that reflects what Israel wants, the various factions within the US political establishment, its security apparatus and what people have come to call the deep state seem to have anything but a consensus about an Iran policy and are completely oblivious, really, to the resilient nature of Iranians and the resolute fortitude of their leadership,” Grossman said.
