Portugal: 28 injured as Lisbon tram derails, flips over
At least 28 people were injured after a tram derailed and flipped over in Lisbon on Friday.
Footage shows a tram carriage lying on its side on the road in Lisbon's Lapa district, with police surrounding it. Around 50 rescuers were reportedly dispatched to the scene, including fire engines.
The incident happened at around 6pm local time (18:00 GMT) at the intersection of Rua Garcia de Orta and Rua de Sao Domingos a Lapa. Nobody was gravely hurt in the incident, authorities said.
