'US enjoys backing Riyadh to destabilize Middle East'
The deadly Saudi campaign against Yemen has the support of the United States due to Washington's interest in a tense Middle East where it could sell more weapons, says a commentator.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that the United States was complicit in the crimes the Saudi regime has been committing in the war against Yemen.
In an interview with Press TV on Wednesday, Mostafa Khoshcheshm, journalist and political commentator, said that “It is no secret to anyone that the US enjoys supporting Saudi Arabia to make it a gendarme, if possible, in this region, if not; then, they can sell more and more guns to the Saudis.”
“So, basically the United States wants this region in tension,” Khoshcheshm said.
