U.S. HAMAS ENMITY

The UN General Assembly on Thursday refused to support a U.S. resolution condemning the Palestinian resistance group Hamas as a “terrorist organization”. The anti-Hamas resolution fell short of the required two-thirds majority of the 193-member assembly to pass. The outgoing US envoy, Nikki Haley, had written to member states few days before the vote to urge them to support the resolution.
