Manchester City defeat Watford 2-1 in English Premier League

a have cemented their spot at the top of the English Premier League standings to 5 points after defeating Watford 2-1 at the Vicarage Road.

The Sky Blues had to struggle to find their first goal as German midfielder Leroy Sane scored from Algerian international Riyad Mahrez cross, 5 minutes before break.

Maherz then doubled the lead for the Citizens from Gabriel Jesus' low cross in the 50th minute. Abdoulaye Doucoure managed to pull one back for the host as he netted from close range with 5 minutes remaining but it was just not enough as man city grabbed all three points with the win.
