Iran and Saudi Arabia: A comparison

It is sad to know that Iran, a democratic country which has held at least 40 elections in years after the revolution is compared to Saudi Arabia which has a fully totalitarian country. The government of Saudi Arabia is fully dictatorial. Elections have no place in this country. All the power is in the hands of the members of the House of Saud. Saudis are the main promoter of the Wahhabism religion; the very same religion which has given birth to different terrorist groups in the world such as Daesh and al-Qaeda. Women in Saudi Arabia are extremely limited and don’t have the right to participate in social activities. Donald Trump referred to Saudi Arabia as a milk cow which seems to be totally fit. Though extremely offensive, it seems to be describing the relationship between these two countries in the best way. Trump, in another speech, addressed king Bin Salman saying that his country won’t last two weeks without help from America. Saudi Arabia provides the US with money and oil and in return it does whatever it wants such as killing critic journalists like Jamal Khashoggi, or attacking defenseless Yemenis. It is a shame that America does not bother if women of Saudi Arabia are not allowed to leave home alone, are not allowed to go to park or shopping, are not even allowed to go to a cemetery; it does not bother if Saudis fund terrorists, kill and imprison critics and kill innocent women and children in Yemen. Nothing about Saudi Arabia does bother Americans as long as they provide them with oil and money.
