Bahrain observers warn that Sheikh Salmans life imprisonment is not a unique case and is a part of the active and systematic violations of human rights in Bahrain just weeks prior to the planned general election on 24 November 2018. He is the head of the powerful opposition movement Al-Wefaq which was also dissolved by the regime earlier.
