NBA: Washington Wizards 125-118 Los Angeles Clippers

Over to the NBA, the Washington Wizards have overcome a large deficit to beat the visiting Los Angeles Clippers 125 to 118.

The Clippers started strongly by outscoring their hosts 40 to 21 in the 1st quarter and held on to the 19-point advantage as both squads scored 33 points in the 2nd quarter. The Wizards put some pressure on the Clippers in the 3rd, reducing the margin to 9 points by the end of the quarter.

The hosts completed their comeback in the final quarter as they took it 39 to 23 to snap a 2-game losing streak. John Wall led the Wizards with 30 points, while Tobias Harris earned 29 points for the Clippers, who were on a 5 game winning streak.

Meanwhile, C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard combined to score 60 points for the Portland Trail Blazers as they beat the New York Knicks 118 to 114. The Knicks, who hosted the match at the Madison Square Garden, led by 2 points at the end of the 1st quarter and went to the locker rooms as winners.

The hosts opened a 10-point lead early in the 3rd but the Blazers fought back to take it 31 to 25 before closing it out with a 29-all in the final quarter to secure the victory. With the win, the Blazers handed the knicks their 6th loss in a row.
