Cargo spacecraft launched with supplies for International Space Station

An unmanned Northrop Grumman cargo spacecraft has lifted off in a mission to deliver supplies to the International Space Station (ISS).

The cargo spacecraft, called Cygnus, launched aboard the company's Antares rocket from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia.

This is Northrop Grumman's 10th cargo delivery mission for NASA. The Cygnus will deliver some 7,400 pounds (3,350 kilograms) of supplies and scientific equipment to the ISS crew. The Cygnus is scheduled to arrive to the ISS on November 18.
