Japan's Kashima Antlers have won the Asian Champions League for the 1st time in their history with a goalless draw against the Iranian side, Persepolis, leading to their 2-0 aggregate victory in the final match up.
After losing the 1st leg 2-0 in Kashima last week, Persepolis faced their opponents in the 2nd leg at home in Tehran.
The Reds created many chances in the full house Azadi stadium, but failed to convert them into goals, allowing Kashima to hold on to their 2-goal advantage.
