The 2018 US midterm elections turned to an opportunity for American voters to pass judgment on President Donald Trump two years after his surprise election in November 2018.

While the Republican Party managed to tighten its grip over the Senate, Trump suffered a predictable upset at the hands of Democrats in the House of Representatives.

The outcome of the wild November 6 races will shape the future of US politics for the next two years.
