Iran accused of meddling in 2018 US election

To the world's surprise, America has accused Iran of meddling in its upcoming elections. The US has held Russia accountable for meddling in its elections, alongside China, North Korea and Iran.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has dismissed US claims of meddling as fanciful thinking, an undiagnosed delusion. It is Iran like the rest of the world at large that has been at the receiving end of US meddling. And the landmark instance of this is the 1953 coup that overthrew the oil-nationalization era Prime Minister Mosaddeq.

The United States of America which has a historical record of meddling not only in elections but internal affairs of different countries in the world had the audacity to accuse Iran along with three other countries of meddling in its upcoming elections. This becomes even more absurd when we happen to know that Facebook and Twitter have blocked mammy Iranian and pro Iranian accounts under its pressures.

So here the question arises that how has Iran been able to act against the US elections with its accounts blocked? It merits a mention blocking of social media accounts is another stain of disgrace in the dark history of a country which claims to be an advocate of democracy and freedom of the press!
