NATO’s accusations against Russia ludicrous: Author

NATO is moving troops into Estonia, Latvia, Poland all along the Russian border and yet it keeps claiming that Russia is being provocative, which is an absurd accusation, says a commentator.

John Steppling, author and commentator, told Press TV on Wednesday that NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg’s claim that Russia's 9M729 missile system contravenes the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) “is just a ludicrous accusation.”

“There is no evidence provided, nothing just to continue demonizing of Russia.”

The whole thing is almost cartoonish now and certainly Russia has violated nothing, Steppling said. “Russia has been very restrained even the provocations of NATO recently and this is sort of the drum beats of war and this is disturbing.”
