US midterms, or is it a referendum on Trump?
Donald Trump has always been eager to take credit for anything that he sees as good news even if it does not involve him or his administration. A good example of a self-proclaimed billionaire with a huge ego some would say.
At the same time Trump is also desperate to avoid blame when there is bad news surrounding his leadership or lack of it. When there is bad news, the US President rambles his way into putting a positive spin on the issue, where others might step back and take responsibility.
With just weeks to go before the midterm elections, the latest polls indicate the democrats are gaining ground. Perhaps not a surprise then that Trump says it's not his fault if Republicans lose control of the congressional houses. This is just weeks after Trump told supporters to pretend he is on the ballot.
