UEFA Nations League: Spain 2-3 England

England kept its qualifying hopes alive after a 3-2 victory over Spain in Sevilla in Group 4, League A of the UEFA Nations League.

The Three Lions, who had suffered a 2-1 home loss against La Roja last month, broke the deadlock in the 16th minute, thanks to Raheem Sterling’s superb strike from inside the box.

Marcus Rashford scored the 2nd for the visitors, at the half-hour mark. 8 minutes later, Captain Harry Kane fed Sterling and he made no mistake to find the net.

After the restart, substitute Paco Alcacer pulled one goal back for Spain, with a header from Marco Asensio’s corner kick in the 58th minute. Sergio Ramos scored another for Spain in the dying moments, but it was not enough to prevent the Spaniards from losing at home.
