US sanctions taking tolls on Iranian patients

Sanctions against Iran have already led to a shortage of vital medicines in Iran. Anticoagulants, beta-blockers and blood pressure pills are becoming scarce. There is already a rise in number of deaths of illnesses such as thalassaemia and Iranians know who to blame for a hostile policy which is taking the lives of their loved ones. This is while UN’s top court – the International Court of Justice (ICJ) – has ordered the US to remove sanctions that hurt ordinary Iranians including those on medicines.
