Teachers in US

Hurricane Florence has hammered the United states, a country not unbeknownst to heavy storms and flooding.

Yet this time the impact has been great, with tens of lives lost and thousands evacuated as catastrophic flooding and tornadoes swept through the country after landing in Carolinas.

Teachers across the United States are rising up hand in hand, demanding increases in salaries, benefits and funding for public education.

Walkouts and marches in several states are uniting teachers throughout the country, where they are earning less than they did in 1990.

Teachers in the US are paid nearly 20 percent less per week than comparable workers, a figure standing little above one percent in 1994. Life for a given teacher is clearly consequently harsh.
