UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, following his red card, in the Champions League Match against Valencia.

The Portuguese star was given his marching orders just 29 minutes into his Champions League debut for the Old Lady, after appearing to pull at the hair of Valencia defender Jeison Murillo. Ronaldo’s case will be dealt with by the UEFA control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, on the 27th of September.

The red card incurs a 1-game suspension for the 33-year-old, but he could be banned for an additional 1 or 2 matches, if his behavior is seen to be overly aggressive.
