US hostile to all sovereign states resisting its global domination: Writer

The United States is hostile to Iran because it is against all sovereign, independent countries which are standing in its way to global domination, says Stephen Lendman, a journalist and political analyst based in Chicago.

The Iranian ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has said that Tehran expects the international community to force the US to put an end to its practice of violating international rights.

“It is expected that the international community does not allow the US to continue with its illegal and unilateral measures and to stop the country’s practice of violating international rights,” Kazem Gharibabadi said.

He made the remarks while speaking at the September meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors on Wednesday.

The ambassador said that the latest report of the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano that confirmed Iran’s compliance with its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers attested to “transparency” of the country’s nuclear program.

“Well, I certainly agree with the Iranian ambassador. The only problem is America violates the international law repeatedly on many issues. The clearest evidence is all the illegal wars of aggression that it is waging at multiple theaters. You can name the countries, from Afghanistan to Syria to Iraq, Libya -- it got the US Special Forces committing the nefarious crimes -- and in the two-thirds of the world’s countries,” Lendman said.

“All these things are going on. Not just under the Trump regime, but under Obama, under Bush-Cheney, under the Clinton presidency. It just got worst with the each succeeding US regime. The only credit I would give Obama is that he and his officials finally after many years of negotiations agreed to the JCPOA, which the Trump regime has pulled out of illegally, immorally, and unacceptably.  And that’s the way it is,” he stated.

“There’s nothing in the IAEA, the UN, any UN member state, or anybody can do to change what Washington is doing. It’s completely hostile to Iran. It’s hostile to all sovereign, independent countries. It has one objective, to dominate all others. It wants legitimate governments to replace with the pro-Western puppet regimes. That’s what America wants,” the analyst noted.

“And Iran is one of the prime targets. Iranian sovereign independence is what America objects to.  And it’s the same thing that it objects to in Russia and China and Syria, and Libya, Afghanistan, and many other sovereign independent countries. It wants them changed,” he said.

“Unfortunately, there is nothing any nation or organization is able to do to counter US lawlessness. And the problem is what’s going on only seems to get worse,” the journalist observed.
