9/11 was the new Pearl Harbor to instill fear into Americans: Philosopher

The "false flag" operation on September 11, 2001 was aimed at creating “the new Pearl Harbor” into the American public, American scholar James Henry Fetzer says.

“The unique historical opportunity presented by the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1990 ….require[d] a new Pearl Harbor, a traumatic catalytic event, which would instill fear into the public that they were under attack by a foreign power,” Fetzer, who has done extensive research on  the 9/11 attacks, told Press TV in an interview on Tuesday.

“The contrived events of 9/11 were carried out by the CIA, the neocons, the Department of Defense and Mossad (for) the project of the New American Century,” he said.

The scholar pointed out that the rogue elements within the US government and neocons such as Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, General Richard Myers, Rudy Giuliani, Larry Silverstein, and others, especially members of the Zionist community in New York, orchestrated or at least approved the terrorist plan to benefit Israel.

“A think tank consisting mainly of dual American Israeli citizens advocated the view that the United States should move aggressively into the Middle East and exert military and diplomatic pressure outward from that geopolitically sensitive region in order to create a new American empire worldwide that would endure for the next 100 years hence, the new American century,” he said.

The analyst believes the "false flag" 9/11 attacks “originated in the pervert imagination of Bibi Netanyahu in the 1980s to advise a plan that could draw a the United States into the Middle East to take out the modern Arab states that served as a counter balance to Israel’s domination over the entire region and eventually to confront the Persian nation of Iran.

He said the only reason Americans voted for Donald Trump to become president “was that he promised to bring our troops back from the Middle East and cease squandering trillions of dollars of taxpayers' money.”

"We can only hope on this occasion, the very soberly 17th observance of 9/11 that Donald Trump will keep his promise to the American people in these needless wars on behalf of Israel, one of the greatest atrocities in world history."
