UEFA Nations League: Switzerland beats Iceland 6-0

Switzerland have thrashed Iceland 6-0, in their opening match in the UEFA Nations League. Steven Zuber opened the scoring for the home side 13 minutes into the match, with a powerful strike from inside the box.

Denis Zakaria made it 2-0, ten minutes later, tapping home from close range. The 3rd came soon after the break, as Xherdan Shaqiri swung the ball into the box, and it found the back of the net, after a slight deflection off a defender’s head. 

Haris Seferovic scored the 4th, with a low strike midway through the 2nd half. Albian Ajeti scored the 5th on a low cross. And Admir Mehmedi scored the 6th goal with 8 minutes remaining on the clock.
