Israeli Demolition In Overdrive

A top Israeli court this week upheld a ruling to demolish an entire village in the occupied West Bank. The ruling that would force 180 Palestinians from Khan al-Ahmar immediately drew the condemnation of rights groups. And clashes have already started between the Israeli security forces and the Palestinians that see demolitions as part of a plan to consolidate a controversial Israeli colonial project. The Palestinian Authority says the project that involves building an arc of settlements would effectively cut off occupied East Jerusalem al-Quds from the rest of the West Bank. It has warned that this would be meant to kill any hopes for a future contiguous Palestinian state.
