US threatens return of large-scale war drills in Korea

US Secretary of Defense James Mattis says large-scale joint US-South Korea military drills will resume unless Pyongyang takes significant steps toward giving up its nuclear and missile programs. The US cites a lack of progress on North Korea’s denuclearization, despite several trust-building measures from Pyongyang. North Korea views the military exercises as a rehearsal for invasion.
