2018 Asian Games: Iran grabs 2 gold, 3 silver medals in Wushu Sanda

Iran’s Wushu practitioners in Sanda discipline have pocketed 2 gold and 3 silver medals on the 5th day of the 2018 Asian Games, which is currently underway in Indonesia.

In Men’s Snada, and minus 60 kg Category Erfan Ahangarian bagged a gold medal after defeating his Chinese opponent. Then Foroud Zafari in the minus 65 kg Category won the silver medal after suffering defeat against his Chinese rival. And finally, Mohsen Mohammadseifi snatched a gold medal in the minus 70 kg Category.

In Women’s Sanda, Elaheh and Shahrbanoo Mansourian grabbed silver medals in the minus 52 and minus 60 kg Categories respectively after being defeated by their Chinese rivals.

Meanwhile, in rowing, Iranian women have won silver and bronze medals in lightweight quadruple sculls and double sculls respectively.
