Iraqi professional footballer Humam Tariq Faraj Naoush has finalized his deal with professional Iranian soccer club Esteghlal, which currently competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League, after obtaining the necessary permit.

The International Relations Department of Esteghlal announced in a statement on Monday that the Iraqi football club Nadi al-Quwa al-Jawiya al-Riyadhi (Air Force Athletic Club) had issued the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) for the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.

Tariq joined Esteghlal on a three-year contract on August 1. No information about the value of the contract was immediately available.

He has been nicknamed the "Iraqi Messi," and has represented Iraq at Under-19, Under-20, Under-22, Under-23 and full international level.

Tariq is the youngest Iraqi in history to represent the senior team. He made his debut for the national team at the age of 16.
