Iran blanks Vietnam in 2018 Men's Beach Handball World Championships

The Iran men's national beach handball team has trounced Vietnam in consecutive sets in its second fixture at the main round of the 2018 Men's Beach Handball World Championships in Russia.

The Iranian outfit, which had suffered a 0-2 (16-22 and 6-15) defeat from Spain on Thursday, could sweep Vietnam 2-0 (15-14 and 18-10) later in the day.

The Iran men's national beach handball team is scheduled to take on Hungary in its last main round match on Friday.

The 2018 Men's Beach Handball World Championships started on July 24, and will close on July 29, 2018.

Iran is pitted against Croatia, Hungary, Spain, Uruguay and Vietnam in Group I of the main round.

Group II consists of Brazil, Denmark, Oman, Qatar, Russia and Sweden.
