Iran U-23 football team to play warm-up matches in Iraq, China

The Iran men’s national under-23 football team is scheduled to play three preparation games against Iraq and China as it is gearing up for the forthcoming 2018 Asian Games – officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta Palembang 2018.

According to a report published by the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) website, the Iranian outfit, also known as Iran U-23 or Iran Olympic Team, will depart Tehran for Iraq on July 23.

The Iran Olympic Team will take on the Iraq national under-23 football team in two friendly fixtures on July 25 and 27 respectively.

The Iranian soccer players will then return to Tehran on July 29. They will be off to China on August 6 to hold a training camp there.

The Iran U-23 football team will take on the China Olympic Team in an exhibition game on August 9.

Iran Olympic Team has been drawn with Myanmar, North Korea and Saudi Arabia in Group F of the 2018 Asian Games.
