In 2017 he arranged Just Walk to Jerusalem Amos’ response to the centenary of the Balfour declaration and the call to #changetherecord. Summary: Reverend Chris Rose in this episode talks about the importance roles of Christian Palestinians as an integral part of Palestinian community. Rev. Chris Rose arranged walking from London to Jerusalem in 2017 to mark the Balfour Declaration, to mark 50 year occupation, and as an act of penance and as an act of solidarity. He emphasises that three faiths is hugely important, in the UK there is a secular view, which separates belief and identity apart. That is not the case in Palestine. The Christian community in Palestine is a vital part of Palestinian community and it is really important to recognise that because is a part of integral part of Palestinian community. You can’t separate it, there is no line between the Palestinian Muslims and Palestinian Christians, they are Palestinians. You can’t separate the two. And a history of Palestinian is a history of Palestinian Christians as much as Palestinian Muslims as well. They have lived together for hundred of years. Our solidarity is essential for people who are oppressed. There is hope in our faiths. There is spirituality, which underpins our campaigns and we ultimately believe there will be peace and there will be justice for Palestinians.
