ASSAD WARNING & SPAIN GOVERNMENT COLLAPSE

SPAIN GOVERNMENT COLLAPSE A massive corruption scandal in Spain has cost Mariano Rajoy his job as prime minister. He was toppled in a no-confidence vote in parliament. Rajoy became the first premier in modern Spanish history to be forced out of office in a no-confidence motion. Rajoy and his Popular Party had managed to weather allegations of corruption for years. But things got complicated last week when the High Court in Madrid convicted Rajoy's former aides of receiving bribes and tax crimes. ‘GET OUT OF SYRIA’ It’s been described as a warning to the U.S. military. Syrian President Bashar Assad says U.S. troops operating in the country must leave immediately. Assad also pointed to the illegal presence of U.S. troops in Iraq, saying the occupation of the neighboring country shows the destructive nature of U.S. military adventurism in the Middle East. The U.S. has around 2,000 Special Forces on the ground in Syria.
