A human rights lawyer blames the interventionist policies of the US and its Western allies in Africa and the Middle East for the refugee crisis unfolding in Europe.

“Before the regime change policies of Europe and the United States the refugee flows were minimal,” Edward Corrigan, international human rights lawyer, told Press TV on Monday.

The Western powers’ “intervention” and “regime change activities” plus “economic exploitation” of Africa and the Middle East are the root causes of the refugee influx into Europe, he added.
