Galapagos' Sierra Negra spews lava, ash

Ecuador's Sierra Negra volcano erupted on Tuesday, sending streams of fiery lava oozing through parts of the Galapagos National Park amid clouds of smoke and ash.

According to park authorities, some 50 people were evacuated and tourists have been temporarily barred from visiting that area of the park.

The Sierra Negra has some of the world's largest crater's according to Ecuador's Environment Ministry. The volcano last erupted in 2005.
