UK: Several injured as minor explosion hits London Tube
Several people were injured after a minor explosion hit Southgate Tube station in London on Tuesday.
The blast occurred around 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT) and caused panic and a mass evacuation of the station. Paramedics arrived promptly and the British Transport Police said in a statement that there were only minor injures.
An investigation has been launched on the cause of the explosion, after reports of a suspicious package at the station. At the moment, there is no indication that it was a militant attack.
