Clinton's the last person to speak about American democracy: Analyst

Hillary Clinton delivers the keynote address at the Regional Plan Association annual assembly in Midtown Manhattan, April 27, 2018 in New York City.

Former Democratic Party candidate Hillary Clinton, who was responsible for her part in rigging a US presidential election process, is the last person to speak about American democracy, says Myles Hoenig, an American political analyst and activist.

Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Sunday while commenting on a recent speech by former secretary of state Clinton on Friday at Harvard University.

In her speech, Clinton warned that American democracy is in crisis and the country is headed towards authoritarianism, an apparent swipe at President Donald Trump, whom she ran against in the 2016 presidential election.

"Right now we are living through a crisis in our democracy," Clinton said. "There are certainly not tanks in the street, but what is happening today goes to the heart of who we are as a nation. And I say this not as a Democrat who lost an election, but an American afraid of losing a country."

Clinton did not mention President Trump by name, but it was clear to whom she was referring when she said there are "leaders in our country who blatantly incite people with hateful rhetoric, who stoke fear of change, who see the world in zero-sum terms."

Commenting on this, Myles said, “Next we’ll hear her railing against Trump buddying up to an authoritarian regime, which would be far worse than her part in installing a Neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine.”

“The beauty of having Donald Trump in the White House is that he is so transparently evil, corrupt, degenerate, and intellectually challenged. Anyone with a moral compass and an understanding of history (US and world) can produce an educated commentary on where this country is going with the Donald as president. But for it to be coming from Hillary Clinton is a true insult to all others who have an intelligent thought on the matter,” the analyst added.

“The entire Clinton family epitomizes corruption, nepotism, racism, and classism. Same can be said for the Trump family. For one to criticize the other is preposterous and transparent in its banality,” he stated.

“In her Yale commencement speech she continues to cry that she was robbed of the presidency. She still regrets losing. Anyone with a conscience, or even a sense of humility, would just shut up for good. She cannot understand that the two of them represented all that is wrong with American politics, and that they both were perceived by a majority of Americans as being the two worst possible candidates to run, and likely to win,” the activist said.

“With all his flaws, Tillerson, and now Sen. Flake from Arizona, along with many others for sure, are sounding the alarms of what Trump has deeply stirred up on the continuing road of American fascism,” Myles concluded.
