Iran’s Haddadi earns bronze in Halle International Throws Meet

Iranian discus thrower and London 2012 Olympics silver medalist Ehsan Haddadi has exhibited rather accepetable performance at the Halle International Throws Meet in Germany, and grabbed a bronze medal at the tournament.

The 33-year-old Iranian sportsman finished in the third spot and got the bronze medal with his best throw of 66.13 meters.

Haddadi registered 65.84 meters in his first attempt, and threw 65.72 meters in the second. He failed his third throw though.

The Iranian athlete threw the discus 66.04 meters and 66, 13 meters respectively in his fifth and sixth attempts.

Jamaican contestant Travis Smikle set the record of 67.14 meters and ranked first in the competition. Daniel Ståhl from Sweden became the vice champion.
