Three controlled explosions rocked North Korea's nuclear testing facility at Punggye-ri on Friday after the country vowed to destroy a nuclear test site.

Members of the international media were invited to film the blast, but no international observers or weapons inspectors were present.

The detonation came just hours before President Donald Trump cancelled his Singapore summit with Kim Jong Un.
