Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers clinch two medals at World Military Championship

The 33rd edition of the World Military Wrestling Championship kicked off in Moscow, Russia, on May 14, and will finish on May 20, 2018.

Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers have exhibited remarkable grappling skills at the 33rd edition of the World Military Wrestling Championship in Russia, and pocketed two medals, including one gold, during the international sports event.

On Friday and the opening day of the Greco-Roman competitions in the Russian capital city of Moscow, Mohammad Nourbakhsh triumphed over a representative from the host nation 4-3 in the title challenge of the 63-kilogram weight class, and picked up the gold medal.

Shirzad Beheshti Tala could get a bronze in the 60-kilogram class as well.

The 33rd edition of the World Military Wrestling Championship kicked off on May 14, and will finish on May 20, 2018.

The tournament has reportedly brought together dozens of athletes from various  countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, France, Georgia, Germany, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Pakistan and South Korea.
