French migrant associations are calling for urgent action from authorities as more than 2,000 refugees continue to find themselves in unstable shelters and in fear of violence in Paris camps.

As of spring 2018, more than 2,400 migrants live in precarious conditions in three camps in the French capital.

Around 1,600 migrants sleep in tents at the Porte de la Villette camp, many of which fall victim to problems of extortion and intimidation by their peers.
