International cultural industry fair opens in Shenzhen

Among the many products featuring Chinese traditional and intangible culture, one of the main sought after among visitors at the 14th China International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, are the Confucius products.

A series of Confucius figurines displaying six ancient arts, including rites, music, archery, charioteering, calligraphy and mathematics with different postures, has been a main attraction among the visitors.

Other Confucius products also include pillows, bookmarks, smart phone cases and notebooks. Zhang Li, the person in charge of the products, said that this is not only an opportunity for people to better understand the Confucian culture, but also a way to promote the culture abroad.

It is reported that Chinese traditional techniques, including paper cuttings and embroidery, are being displayed by 136 intangible culture centers and intangible culture institutions nationwide.

The ICIF, which opened on Thursday, has attracted over 2,000 organizations, including 130 from abroad, according to the organizers.
