Pakistan foils US bid to rescue man linked to CIA

Pakistan has thwarted an attempt by the US to rescue a man who was running a CIA network in the country. Dr. Shakil Afridi, who helped CIA track down Bin Laden was shifted to a jail in Rawalpindi from Peshawar after the US failed to free him. The move has caused new tensions between Pakistan and the US.
